Bar Attendant - Mercure Gloucester Bowden Hall

We are committed to offering the highest standards of service. Providing a quality bar service is an important part of that commitment. In this role, you will carry out all aspects of bar work from serving to cleaning pumps, but above all, you will confidently greet guests and make sure they are served quickly and efficiently. Previous bar experience is desirable, although full training will be provided.

To compliment the recent refurbishment of our Georgian country house Mercure Gloucester Bowden Hall Hotel, we are launching Bar and Brasserie Bowden, where our guests can enjoy a
wide variety of specialist premium gin infused flavours or perhaps a cocktail or other fused flavoured offerings made by you.

We are looking for an experienced mixologist who has excellent knowledge of gins, classic and modern cocktails as well as a natural flair in fusing ingredients to make great flavours. 

Qualifications in Professional Bartending Cocktails Level 2, WSET level 2 or similar would be advantageous.      

This position is offered on a part-time evening basis, 25 hours per week, working Tuesdays to Saturdays inclusive and applicants must be over 18 years old.

Own Transport will be essential due to the location of the hotel

Mercure Gloucester Bowden Hall is a classically-styled country house hotel with Regency decor and charming rooms surrounded by beautiful grounds.  It is situated just 3½ miles from the city centre and is a top class location for conferences and meetings.

The hotel has 72 bedrooms including 4 poster suites, a restaurant, and a Club Bar.  It also offers meeting facilities with 6 conference rooms for up to a maximum of 120 guests.
