The Mercure Newbury, Elcot Park Hotel will create 12 new jobs as a result of an extensive £300,000 investment, to transform the 4* star hotel’s public spaces and restaurant.
The new look hotel will be unveiled at a public event on June 6th and will showcase the refurbishment, which includes the creation of the new event space – The Percy Shelley Suite – designed specifically to cater for people looking for a unique wedding or event venue. The hotel’s 12 new roles will be in departments across the business.
Commenting on the job creation, hotel General Manager, Mehmet Kandemir said: “The Elcot Park Hotel has played a central role in the community for many years and we are delighted that our continued investment into the hotel will result in the creation of 12 new jobs, many of which we hope to go to local residents.
