Mercure Sheffield Parkway Hotel To Host Exclusive Event For Local Heroes

The Mercure Sheffield Parkway Hotel is set to host a special Afternoon Tea for local heroes in the community on Sunday 19thNovember.

The Mercure Sheffield Parkway Hotel plans to host an exclusive afternoon tea for upstanding members of the community. The event, for 50 local heroes, is in honour of parent hotel group AccorHotels 50thAnniversary celebrations and subsequent pledge to give something back to the local communities.

The Mercure Sheffield Parkway Hotel will open their doors to standout service men and women to honour those who have made a real difference in their local area. The hotel will give the red carpet treatment, including a glass of Prosecco on arrival and a delicious afternoon tea, to representatives from South Yorkshire Fire Service, South Yorkshire Police, the NHS, two local charities, Sheffield Hallam University and the local Army. Each group was asked to put forward two members of their team who they felt had gone above and beyond to be ‘local heroes’.

Also in attendance of the 50 guests will be the Mayor and Mayoress of Rotherham, the Mayor will give a short speech to introduce the event and will hand out certificates to the local heroes.

The 4* Mercure Sheffield Parkway Hotel is located less than 1.5miles from the M1 and is the prefect destination for leisure or business guests in the Sheffield or Rotherham area.
