The 100-bedroom hotel’s achievement comes after the hotel was recently awarded a REYTA, a regional tourism award, as a Remarkable Conference and Meeting Venue.
Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel offers the largest hotel event space within a 50-mile radius – The International Suite, and houses twelve flexible meeting rooms, with space for up to 550 delegates. Each offers complimentary high speed Wi-Fi and there is parking available for up to 600 cars on site. There is also a conference centre onsite, which offers five meeting spaces, each with local themes, which can accommodate up to 35 people.
Peter Nye the hotel’s General Manager commented: “We are absolutely delighted with the recent accolade. This continues to show our ongoing commitment to Hull City of Culture 2017 and more importantly the tourism business as a whole in the city. We feel there is a huge gap in the market for four-star hotels in Hull & East Riding and therefore we worked really hard to achieve this. We are confident our new status will elevate our offering in the area.”
Martin Green, Chief Executive for Hull City of Culture, also expresses his delight for the hotel: “This is fantastic news for the hotel and for Hull as a city. Timing could not be more perfect in preparation for the City of Culture Year 2017.”
Located five miles from the centre of Hull, the hotel is within easy access from the M62, is three miles from the train station and 20 miles from Humberside International Airport. The hotel itself is nestled in 12 acres of landscaped grounds.
Shane Harris, CEO Jupiter Hotels said: “We are very proud of the team in Hull, they’ve worked really hard to achieve this recognition and we know the hard work will result in more bookings and business for Mercure Hull Grange Park.”
